This games captures the essence of the world of Naruto and allows you to play with almost every character you would want to from the Hidden Leaf and Sand Village. The story could be a little stronger and after playing Bleach: 3rd Phantom RPG, I would have incorporated Bleach's story design (like watching the cartoon) and individual fight scenes after you've chosen your opponent and move (attack, justus, etc.). I also wish they made it a little more difficult as it only took several hours to complete the entire game. I will start off by saying I had never heard of Bleach the anime prior to looking at this game and even now I have yet to see the anime. What intrigued me about the game in the first place was its praise as a great fighting game, well ladies and gentlemen this is 100% true.

This has got to be one of the best fighting games out there. The controls are responsive, the engine is amazing, the graphics are also great. The only complain I kind of have is that the actual controls are almost the same for every character. This is kind of a plus though because I am intrigued to use every character. It is not like you have to invest some time on only a few characters because their controls are unique, no the fact that the controls are similar gives you the freedom to explore the roster. The game has a card system that lowers a stat for your opponent or boosts one of yours. At first the card system seemed unsettling but now I can see the depth it adds to the game.

Overall a great fighting game period. It's not a great fighting game for a hand held, no, it is just a great figting game. In some ways better then some of the other fighting games out there, for example Street Fighter IV. I got the original Nintendo ds as an xmas gift in the 2004 new year 2005 season, and I have to say I am pretty impressed by the overall quality of the system. This Nintendo ds is the Silver platinum color scheme which is the first color at the time. I've dropped this thing a billion times and even spilled water on it and it works flawlessly. That's the thing you can always expect from Nintendo is quality and durability. I've never had a nintendo system fail on me from the n64 to gbc to gba to gcn whatever. Unless your actually trying to break it its not goin to break. I don't know if anybody else has had this problem, but my L and R shoulder buttons just don't work anymore. I have no idea why but they just don't work. That is the only problem i have right now. It frustrated me because they died after the warranty expiration date. The ds also has wireless multiplayer gaming with one card with some games and a pictochat mode, gba slot. Sadly no gbc games or gameboy games can be played which is a huge dissapointment. The multiplayer with gba games doesn't work either due to the abcence of the multi link cable port missing. Overall a pretty good system, very durable. I do realize that there are ds lites, and the dsi, and the dsi xl but to me its not worth it. I hardly ever use the ds and theres no incentive for me to buy a remake. Thats the critical problem with the ds is the gimmicky rediculous games it has. I have 3 games that I enjoy playing on this thing. That's why I'm rating it as 3 stars. I mean if your a parent who has kids in the 4-9 year old range it will satisfy them and will probably be a good buy. Im a freshman in college and I require more entertainment in my games. Brain age and brain age two and nintendogs just dont satisfy my needs. Theres three games that I love to play, Super mario 64 ds, mario kart ds, and new super mario bros. thats about it on the games library in my range. Some nintendo ds games have a online feature which is a step in the right direction and is a pretty cool feature concerning games. Nintendo needs to make a super smash bros. or a f-zero game for it or port mario party 1 2 and 3 from n64 over. Mario party ds failed. I played it for 5 seconds after renting it and returned it. That's my biggest problem with the ds is theres not alot of games that spark my interest except for a few. Those that liked ocarina of time or majoras mask for the n64 will be dissapointed with phantom hourglass and spirit tracks. Again they are extremely gimmicky and just not the same. The touch screen is a complete joke and just a huge gimmick sucker. All the Nds games revolve around it. In general i wouldn't recommend this system to the teenage audience. Overall I love the ds and just how durable it is but like i said I wish nintendo would make better games for it. Another thing I have to add is the pictochat function. It's extremely gimmicky. It's basically a texting tool and you quite literally have to be in the same room next to somebody because it doesn't reach very far. I could just talk to the person if he or she is in the same room. It does do nicely though if your like in a quiet zone and have to be quiet. Otherwise it is not to exciting, just another gimmicky ds feature.

Holds everything from multiple DS units, the charger, your stylus whether it's small or the new fountain pen-like stylus for the DSi XL (there are 4 spots for the small stylus and 2 for the XL stylus), to 20 game cartridges (slots made for the small ones, not the larger GBA ones, though you can definitely tuck some GBA games somewhere in this bag like the zippered compartment which my kids are currently using to hold their chargers).

Be VERY carful when you buy this tranporter because it has undergone a recent transformation. Notice the different pictures of these game bags when you search for them on Amazon. See the hang-tag in the photo of this hot pink one? Well, in the bottom-left, you can barely see it but there are 3 green check marks. One each for DS lite, DSi and DSi XL. Power A is using the same name but there are actually two models. The first one comes with a cardboard sleeve around the bag and the area that holds 2 DS units has a separator that is sewn in. This newer bag with the hang-tag on it comes with a velcro separator so the XL can be accomodated. We almost purchased the other one which would have not fit the XL. Both are on store shelves so unzip it and look inside if you own an XL because you will need the velcro separator model to be able to resize the area accordingly, otherwise it won't fit right. Whether velcro or sewn separator, DS lite and the regualar DSi will fit fine. But be very aware if this bag is for the XL.

I believe both models come in Pink, Blue and Black but having viewed the ones with the sewn in console area, I noticed it's a much lighter pink and the one considered black is a combo of both dark gray and black (meaning XL users need to spot hot pink, all black and blue). Crazy I know, but spotting the different colors may help you choose correctly.

It also comes with a removable, adjustable shoulder strap.

Hope this helps because when buying on the web, you may not get all the tiny details and since both models are called Universal Transporters, one can buy the wrong one and who feels like returning and waiting for the right one? I nearly got the wrong bag model twice.

P.S.
I purchased this hot pink model (daughter, 10) and the solid black (son, 7). My kids love the bag's roominess while not being too large to carry around. My daughter loves the shoulder strap, carries it cross-wise across her body like a purse, and uses the 're-sized' space beside her XL for her cell phone. My boy does not like the shoulder strap and prefers using the short handle on top. The bag is roughly 9" x 8.5".

Okay, to be blunt, everything about this game makes me sick. Let me start at the game description. It promises 24 players, including Mr. Fantastic and the Human Torch. However, the DS game offers only 15 heroes, and the Human Torch and Mr. Fantastic are not playable.

Also, unlike the original Ultimate Alliance, this version only offers four super powers for each character. In the original, you had a whole arsenal of super powers that were actually pretty cool. In this game: you stick with what you got. The ability to change your uniform at will is excluded, too.

Another problem, the biggy, the main reason I bought the game: fusions. The description made it sound so glorious: fantastic combinations; a fiery tornado; over 250 unique combos! In fact, the "fusions" are just each character performing their regular special moves with no hint of combination. Yes: Wolverine will still run around in a circle waving his claws no matter who he is teamed up with. And yes: Thor does the exact same special move when teamed with Storm as he does with Hulk.

So, pretty much the only positive thing out of that mess of a game was that there wasn't any annoying loading screen every time you enter a new room. Still, I would take the loading screen if they actually put some effort into making this game likable.

I bought this game at GameStop & love it. It has great cutscenes. Excellent storyline & remind's me a little of the lego series but awesome game. The story is set in mideval times/the middle ages which by the way if your going to study any era in history study the mideval times you'll learn so much from that era. Anyway's you play as Sir Beetalot a noble knight just starting off. you get smash moles in mini games to clear the yard for jousting toraments. You get go on mission's I'm on mission 16 right now. You even get to ride dragon's. If your just starting in the game buy the dragon that cost's 1200 gold peices he fly's faster & is more sturdy for battle against other dragon's in the sky.
Over all I really love this game. I hope they continue the playmobil series! It's the best!

Recently I was finally able to get Kirby Canvas Curse. The game got tons of great feedback when it came out years ago, and is still placed in a lot of top 20 DS games lists. That surprised me, especially given how many great DS games there are now. It's a good game despite not feeling like a Kirby game. But hey, if you were sick of going around sucking up enemies this could be for you.

Gameplay is pretty simple- Kirby is rolled into a ball and you have to navigate him through each stage while defeating enemies and solving some puzzles here and there. You draw lines on the touch screen which act as bridges, walls or platforms so he can keep going. Tap Kirby to propel him forward and if there's a gap in the floor, draw a line over it so he doesn't fall. It's easy for the first couple of worlds, but later on the difficulty spikes up a bit and you'll need to be fast with the stylus. You can tap enemies on the screen to stun them, and once Kirby touches them, they're toast. Some have powers that Kirby can use, most of which you'll be familiar with if you've played previous Kirby games (flame, needle, rock, etc.). After you clear three stages in each world, you'll get to face one of three boss challenges. Each one's different: one puts Kirby in the roll of the BreakOut ball, another has you racing and collecting food, and the other simply has you connect the dots. And once the worlds are done, there's the final boss. Though there are also special tokens you can collect in each stage that net you a little something special at the end too.

Unlike any other Kirby game, Canvas Curse is refreshing, but doesn't feel like a Kirby game to me. There's no flying, eating enemies, or animal buddies. Kirby stays in ball form the whole game. It took me a little while to get used to controling him exclusively with the stylus, but I got the hang of it after a few stages. When you draw lines, you can go a good length before using up your ink and needing it to refill, so go nuts with the bridges. Sometimes it got annoying when I needed Kirby to go in a different direction, especially on small platforms, because you need to draw a wall and propel him toward it so he goes the other way. 'kinda wish there were more boss fights than just the 3 main ones too, but it's not that big of a deal. Also, make sure you collect every star when you can, because the game doesn't hand out 1ups very often.

The graphics look good still today, and there wasn't any slowdown when I played. Some of the later stages have just plain beautiful designs, often looking like abstract art. There were times when I'd let Kirby stay still so I could enjoy the scenery. Likewise for the music- a lot of it's memorable, something I haven't said for a Kirby game since Kirby's Dreamland 2 over 10 years ago.

If you can find a copy of Canvas Curse and love Kirby, it'd be hard to not recommend it to you. Just keep in mind what the gameplay's like and give it a half hour or so before deciding if you don't like it. From Galaga to Centipede, the core mechanics of the original Space Invaders had been iterated and improved upon so often that it's a wonder that this new "Extreme" sequel feels so fresh. Taito's epochal arcade smash virtually invented the top-down shooter genre, but aside from a few minor retreads, it has remained dormant for decades. Well, chalk it up to the success of that wonderful Pac-Man reboot or the imminent thirtieth anniversary of the original, but Space Invaders Extreme is simultaneously a joyous celebration of the SI legacy and a fresh take on old-school blasting.

Everyone knows Space Invaders: one turret, four shields, and fifty-five alien ships whose only strategy is to "increase speed, drop down, and reverse direction" (thanks, Futurama!). Well, this "extreme" version adheres closely to the feel of the original but has abandoned the defensive structures and tight formations of the original. Shields are apparently obsolete in this day and age, so Taito saw fit to arm your turret with several new power-ups, including screen-filling lasers, bombs, and a broad shot. The alien armada also kept busy during the cease fire. Gone are the days of "trembling in terror" at their three kinds of ships. Expect to fight an updated panoply of powerful foes, including suicide bombers, teleporters, bouncers, and shielded enemies that can reflect your shots back at you.

More...All of these new enemy types of course require new strategies, but the true genius of this production is realized when you start seeing three or four types of ships stacked together. All of the sudden, new layers of strategy come into play as you try to figure out how to take out the exploding troops without setting off the suicide bombers, or how to remove the reflective shields of some smaller baddies while a huge mother ship is besieging the stage with a tree-trunk-thick laser. Each subsequent wave forces players to adjust. Your special weapons certainly pack a punch, but what good does that do when precision is of the highest priority?

However, the game still finds opportunities for you to cut loose even in the later stages. By shooting four enemies in a row of one color, and then four of a different color (again, another wrinkle), you'll be launched into a brief mini-game with some randomly generated task. Quick! Shoot the right ships to trigger domino-styled explosions! Collect 100 golden items from a retreating UFO! All of the sudden, this becomes the WarioWare Inc. of 2D shooters, constantly forcing you to be quick on your feet. Your reward for succeeding is "Fever Mode," a roughly ten-second window in which you're given obscene amounts of firepower.

Just leafing your way through the instruction manual reveals almost endless facets to what at first appears to be a simple shooter. Dual screened boss battles, roulette rounds brought to you via golden UFOs, score multipliers, a leveling up system, and branching paths à la Starfox...this game's straightforward appearance truly belies almost limitless depth.

Perhaps "straightforward appearance" isn't fair either, because while the graphics are simple (aside from the pre-rendered background flybys through neon drenched Tokyo), there's a musical component to the game that is reminiscent of the sublime synesthesia of Rez. There isn't just a driving techno beat and some strobe lights here. Whenever you shoot an enemy, collect a power up, or deflect an enemy attack, the game produces a distinct musical sound that always fits to the beat. There may be a hidden component to this as well, since the top screen mysteriously keeps track of your "bass" and "chord" among other things. Speaking of bass, be sure to play with the Rumble Pack. I know that many of our readers will opt instead for the import-only paddle accessory, but the rumble here serves as a thumping bass to complement the slightly tinny musical arrangements. Fans of Rez will know how much this vibration can enhance the game play experience (and no, I'm not talking about the risible Trance Vibrator). The developers should be commended for making the most of a usually worthless feature.

So at twenty bones, you shouldn't even be asking yourself whether or not this is worth it. This game will capture your attention in the same way that fellow throwback Geometry Wars did several years ago. With online leader boards and multiplayer*, this game will have you dropping virtual quarters for a long time to come. This is as close to an arcade revival as you are going to see.

*This review focuses on the DS version. Apparently, the PSP's multiplayer doesn't support infrastructure mode.

Puzzle Kingdoms Top Quality

Like some other people, when I first bought this game I only played it for maybe a few hours, put it down, and didn't think I was ever going to play it again. I didn't like how I had to buy my recruits, and thought it was too hard to earn any money to actually buy these troops. I didn't understand why I could suddenly attack at times, and I barely understood why I won or lost battles. Navigating through the menu's was a complete mess IMO, the artwork was bland, the story was completely generic and lame. . . hell I was lost even with the tutorials. I had never played Puzzle Quest either because when I picked this game up that was the game I actually thought i was buying! Meaning, the puzzle game that got all the rave reviews.

Now, roughly 18 months has passed and I decided to give Puzzle Kingdoms another go. I poured tons of hours into Puzzle Quest and wanted to change things up a bit and figured it was time to give this game another shot. With some patience and downright luck, I am now hopelessly addicted to this game. Now that I understand how to play Puzzle Kingdoms, and have come to understand that the solid mechanics of the puzzle design, I cannot put it down.

When I say luck played a part in this, at one point in starting my new adventure I accidentally clicked onto one of the gray looking type rock buildings, only to find that I had to slay a dragon of sorts. Once I destroyed the creature, I was rewarded handsomely and thought to myself "OH, now THAT's how earn real money is this game." If I would have stumbled upon this in the beginning, or have understood how to set my characters up to attack (which I learned with patience and trial and error), I probably wouldn't have been so quick to judge this game.

Now, I love trying out different combinations of troops, as well as recruiting new troops with the added mini games they put into the adventure. Clearing the board/destroying "the box" is also so much fun, and a welcomed twist to the original game mechanics.

To put it simply, this game rocks, as does the sound and music accompanying it. While the graphics are downright horrible, the story meaningless, the interface un-friendly, it's not enough to ruin the game by any means.

I bought this game for my 5 year old son for Christmas. He tried it once, said he didn't like it and wanted to sell it. HOWEVER....I didn't really think that he gave it a chance, so I sat down with him and I PLAYED the game myself while he watched. And then of course.....he wanted his game back :) I like that this game has different things to do in each mission and that they don't get TOO hard as the game progresses. It is basically doing the same things over and over....driving the firetruck thru traffic (my personal favorite...and probably what intimidated my son a bit), putting out fires, climbing ladders, blowing out candles, stamping out fires, turning the fire hydrant handle the right way. And each time you complete a level, you get different upgrades available for your fire truck ..... sirens, body, bumpers, lights, etc.).

What makes this game good for the 4-6 year old crowd, is that there is no reading involved. Jake shows you pictures of the tasks you will have to accomplish in each mission. And also....here it comes.....NO password saves!!!! When you complete a level, it is automatically saved, so you don't need to write down any passwords!!! YIPPEEEE!!!

The only reason I gave this game a 4 instead of a 5, is because I felt that it was over very quickly. I finished the entire game in about an hour and a half. I think a 4-5 year old who really likes these kind of games would probably finish it in a day to a week depending on how much they were allowed to play. But I know how frustrating it is to find non-reading, non password games that are entertaining and easy enough for that age group....so I give it a 4. I preordered this game a couple weeks ago and it got delivered to my house yesterday (the day it came out)and I played it a little bit. In the game you play the teacher named April who has a total of six students. The reason why they called this game Imagine Teacher Class Trip is because April and her students are on a trip at a vacation center. During the game you get to teach the class in the morning and do fun activities in the afternoons.
While in the class you get to teach the students, test their skills, and correct the papers(sort of the same in the regular Imagine Teacher game) and in the afternoons April's class gets to compete in different activities against the three other classes that are also at the vacation center. The activities include: running, climbing, fishing, signing, etc. The teams also collect flags and when you reach a certain amount in each of the activities it says you get a trophy. During the activities the teams also collect pieces of a treasure map and when the collect all seven pieces they could find the treasure ( I didn't get that far yet since I just got the game. Overall I think this is an interesting game. I brought this game because I'm trying to finish up studying to hopefully become a teacher of young kids and this game should give me a little bit of practice.

This is a very simple application, but for its intended audience, it is terrific. Easy Piano teaches you basic music theory, starting from notation, to tempo, to rhythm, and so on. Unfortunately, it stops at making harmonic chord, so you'll have to learn it on your own. The program does allow you to make a 3 note harmonic chord, so this isn't a big problem.

In addition to music lessons along with mini-games, you also gets to practice songs. There are 4 categories. Good selection of songs there. You have to unlock the songs, but fortunately, the game provides 2 levels of difficulties. I still hate it that you have to unlock them, though. Why can't they just provide all the songs immediately. I'm rather surprised by some of the Pop songs provided. Madonna's Material Girl is in there!

The last section is writing your own song, and it is here that the program shines. Although there are good music programs out there, such as Korg DS plus, and WarioWare DIY, this one allows you to just jam the notes using the keyboard. It also includes Metronome sound, so you can play the music according to tempo. There are minimal editing function, but what's there is enough to create your own music.

The difference of interface between this and others is that with Easy Piano, you just play in real time (you can drop notes on screen as well, not necessarily in real time) and that makes it very easy to compose songs. No need to learn what a "phrase" is. No need to jump to different screens to organize such phrases. Just jam on the keyboard provided! You can also use the on-screen keyboard, although if you go that route, you lose the ability to put harmonic notes. Yes, you can do harmonic with the keyboard, up to 3 notes. There's also the option to display the notes traditionally, instead of using bars. I like that.

The physical keyboard is well made. Sturdy yet felt cheap. The keys are too small for my hands, so don't expect for adults to be able to play this toy piano well. Small children, however, should find it a great toy, better than traditional toy piano. There is no MIDI interface possible, which is disappointing. Especially, since the program can be used mostly without it. You lack real time harmonic input without it, but that's it.

Nintendo DSi owners who wants to get a piano program to record their own music shouldn't stay away from it. I think even small children, say age 3 or over, can use this program well. It's really simple and easy to use. There is a limit of 32 measures for the song, so you certainly can't compose a long and involved song. It's perfect for simple pick up and jam sessions, though. If you have DS, or DS Lite, then this is one of those "must-have" program. Even too small for my hands, I miss the physical keyboard feature when I play it on my DSi.

I apologize in advance for constantly comparing this game and the Harvest Moon series. But, since farming simulations are limited, HM was the only other game I could use as an effective comparison.

Shepherd Crossing's premise is pretty straightforward: You play as a young male or female character who has decided to move to a small village in the Alps. Your character, along with a helpful duck named Brammie, has to start a successful farm and manage to survive in the sometimes unforgiving country.

Pros of the Game:
- Interesting take on farming. While Harvest Moon series focuses heavily on the everyday tasks of farming, Shepherd's Crossing is more concerned about the end process of harvesting and storing. You don't water plants in the game and you don't take care of your animals daily - instead, you focus on things like: alternating crop patterns to maximize your seasonal harvest, storing crop / grain / grass, and killing (that's right, you can kill your animals in this game) animals for food for both yourself and some of your pets.
- Attempt at realism. The game tries to add details to the farming process that makes it more realistic. For example, there are several stages to Buckwheat production. Instead of just watering the plant and harvesting it, you have to sickle the buckwheat, bundle it, wait for it to dry, and then place it in grain bags. LOTS of crops in the game require this multistep treatment.
- Decent amount of crop variety - eleven different types of crop altogether.
- Lots of animal variety and interesting animal gameplay. As I have already mentioned, the treatment of animals in this game is much different than in the Harvest Moon series. You will have to butcher some of your livestock in the game - not only to help feed yourself, but to help take care of your guard animals. In the game, you also have to take into consideration the sex of animals in this game, particularly in regards to poultry and egg production.
- Nice graphics. While the character gifs aren't particularly detailed, the background and animal / crop renders are pretty nice. Not super fancy for a DS game, but not ugly by any means.
- Challenging gameplay. The gameplay can be challenging if you don't strategize your time on the farm effectively.
- You can play as either a boy or girl.
- There are 5 potential brides / grooms. There is one 'special' bride as well.
- You are your own butcher / carpenter / cook. Your character is pretty independent. In the game, you can built certain tools for your farm (like a bee box or hay stand), you can also butcher your own animals (not graphically) , and you can cook for yourself and your neighbors.

Cons of the Game:
- Time is not on a clock system. Instead, time is controlled by how much you do in a day. For example, chopping four trees down could constitute a whole day's work. This can be frustrating because it severely micromanages your actions. At the same time, some players might consider this feature part of the challenge.
- Limited villager interaction. This is the biggest issue I had with the game. Even though you can marry someone in Shepherd's Crossing, you really don't have that much to do with the villagers. The town in Shepherd's Crossing is similar to the town in Harvest Moon 2 for GBC, which means that most of the time you can't actually go and visit anyone. You are pretty much limited to your own farm, the general store, or the registry office. Sometimes you can trigger events that let you go and see a villager and other times you can cook meals, which will let you visit with a particular villager (of the game's choosing). However, the interaction with other characters in the game is sorely lacking, especially since a marriage system is an aspect of this game.
- Stretches of nothing. There can be a lot of 'down time' in this game. Plus, most crops and animals take a LONG time to reach maturity - about thirty days (or an entire season). This means that you might have a hectic 10 days of harvesting and then nothing to do for the next 20 days, which can get boring.
- Limited sandbox. This issue is addressed above. I think if the game had more places you could actually go, the boredom factor might not have been as big a deal.

Overall, I think this a very interesting and enjoyable game. While it does have its faults, I appreciated the attempt at (sorta) realistic farming goals. I thought the game offered hours of addicting, entertaining, and challenging gameplay.

I always point out my perspective first: a relative newcomer to gaming. I got into it because my kids love it. My two favorite categories are RPG and Puzzle. I originally downloaded a demo of this from my Wii and after trying to figure it out basically just decided it was not for me--seemed too complicated and ornate. I did pick up a copy for my daughter (teen) who is a very good gamer. It came with a soundtrack and my fate was sealed when she asked to play the soundtrack in the car. The music is haunting and dramatic, rich and resonating--I was transfixed by it and decided I must play the game.

Well I've since started and finished this game. I consider it one of the most rewarding games I've ever played on my DSi. It took a while to figure out what I was doing and there was a definite trial and error period but the tutorials are superb and you can go back to them at any time. I do not like first person shooters or action games and had never played a bullet type game previously -- so for those who are afraid because these terms are used don't be. If you can handle a complex challenge and have perseverance and patience you will become very emotionally invested in this world. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the story is -- and the way it unfolds is masterful. I could, literally, not stop playing this and even called out sick one day to finish the game.

I'm not going to describe the gameplay because, frankly, until you experience it or watch it you're not going to understand much anyway. I didn't. The bottom line is that if you love a good story, amazing art and music in your RPG you owe it to yourself to spend a few hours with this title. Don't give up in the beginning. You'll get the hang of it as the best way is to immerse yourself in the game. I even cried at one point (I never cry). If you are thinking about purchasing this game i would honestly say rent it first because this is not a game for everyone as it was clearly not a game for me. A couple things that makes this game very difficult to play is a lack of tutorials. The instruction manual isn't helpful either. The inability to save is a big problem making this a game you have to beat in one sitting, and the worst part is that after you loose all your lives you have to start over from the very first level no matter how far you get. MarkerMan also dies farily easy...one hit most time. The story is also really weak. all i could gather while playing is that you lose your dog and have to find him...and thats it, you're just looking for your dog. Drawing shapes also proves difficult seeing as how the 1 of the 4 shapes you can draw don't always form. the best part of the game in my opinion is choosing one of about four powers by incasing yourself in one of your shapes.

My family and I really enjoy this game based on the movie "Prince Caspian." We love action adventure type games like the Lion, Witch and Wardrobe, Legends of Zelda, LOTR and Harry Potter so this one is a perfect addition to our GBA/DS game collection.

The game pretty much follows the storyline of the movie. Prince Caspian is introduced, then we move on to the Pevensies, and then back and forth between these characters as they fight new foes, meet new characters and visit new locations. If you've seen the movie or read the books, then you will know how the general game plot goes. The fighting depends on which character(s) you are fighting with. For example. Peter, Edmund and Caspian fight with swords (which involve you rubbing the stylus back and forth in the screen); and Susan fights with a bow and arrow (which involves you trying to push back on the arrow with the stylus and making sure that you hit the mark). The movements and fighting involves the stylus and there is some reading required as you move from stage to stage in the storyline. You also get to collect things like food, 'equipment' and treasures that you can store in your 'inventory.' While you can only play with one character at a time, you can have up to 3 characters help you out as you fight enemies (which can be 2-3 at a time).

I really like this game. This game is full of different kids of weapons, robots and traps. It's challenging. It has 3-4 min battles. There are different super attacks and abilities. It is important to have a strategy of when to use super attacks. Whenever you encounter an enemy, an ability will appear, such as an ability called "Attack Buff". You click the numbers in order. At some different levels you get new enemies and new materials to build walls. The walls are made for defending against soldiers, knights and archers. Sometimes you have to fight a boss. This is a game that is not boring and you can play for pretty long time without getting bored.

I bought this game after playing Ener-g Gym Rockets and I loved it! The instructions are real simple to learn. Your goal is to become a international champion in a dance competition. You have to beat 12 opponents to win. The game starts off really easy and as you progress like any game it will get more difficult.

During game play you mainly use the stylus and at times (depending on which routine you pick) you will have to blow in the microphone. If you have a hard time beating an opponent that just means you may have to use more advanced moves to get you more points. You can custom your clothes, hair color, ribbon and ball that you use during your dance routines. You also can custom your own dance moves by doing your own choreography. The music in the game does get a bit irritating at times. And the only thing I really didn't like about the game is that it's too short. It didn't take me long to beat it. Spectrobes is a fun game,Its starts out with an NPP officer named Rallen getting a call from his superior to investigate a crash landing on a planet. It turns out it was an old mans space pod. He had come from another star system to learn more about the Spectrobes and to awaken more of them to fight planet eating creatures known as Krawl. It turns out that Mr.X (the old man) was too late to save his star system and the Krawl have sets there sights on Rallens (the hero) star system. It turns out Rallen is one of the few people who can handle the Spectrobes in there adult and evolved forms. And he gets tasked with saving the star system.

The gameplay of Spectrobes is fairly standard,its done in real time with you and your Spectobes moving around the 'arena' you use the L&R buttons to use your Spectrobes to attack and the A button to charge,you also use the face buttons to change Rallens weapons and to select the special attacks. I do find though that the battles,and the boss battles especially are a constant 'charge,special attack,charge,special attack' That you have to do until the bosses are dead. I was playing while tired and I almost fell asleep during a particular battle >.>

To get more spectrobes you have to have a child spectrobe to 'hunt' for more fossils and minerals,once you get a fossil and awake it,you can either use it as a hunter or put it in a incubator (you have 4 incubators,with room for 2 Spectrobes in each room) to evolve into an adult and you can keep it in there even longer to evolve into a Evolved from spectrobe. This sounds like a good concept, no? Well it is and it isn't,to evolve your spectobe you have to feed it minerals,a lot of minerals. If you try to feed all you spectrobes in all 4 incubators then you will soon find evolving you Spectrobes both unrewarding and painfully slow. The best way to do it is to feed your spectrobes 2 at a time,this speeds up the process dramatically and feels like your actually making progress.

Graphics wise,Spectrobes looks dated. The game is done almost entirely in 3D with the exception of the chat boxes and status screens witch are done in Anime style 2D. The 3D graphics are sort of cartoony looking from a distance,but when the screen zooms in on a victory shot,it looks like crap very early PS1 games would probably look better. Its even more noticeable when you just finish a game like Final Fantasy 4 witch pushes the graphical capabilities of the DS. I haven't popped in Spectrobes:Beyond the Portals yet. But from some screen shots it looks like they improved the graphics a good amount. Overall the game is particularly easy,and the stages are short and sweet. American gamers do not have many ds rhythm games. When people think of ds games they usually think of Guitar hero, Rhythm Heaven, or Elite Beat Agents. After playing through these games you can hardly find a good music based game. How in the world will you get your musical beat playtime back? Two words: Beat City.

Story: Beat City, unlike Rhythm Heaven, has a story. Beat City is about the hero Synchronizer, his pal Groove Whale, and his love Beatrice. These characters battle against the evil cacophony organization to try to bring back the beat to Beat City. To bring back the beat you play musical games that are wacky and fun.

Presentation: Beat city is presented very well. From the cartoony graphics to the fact that as you do good in a mini-game the level look changes the game looks very good. The menu is a little bland but it makes up for it with everything else. The game suffers from common load times though.

Gameplay: In Beat City there are three modes: Beat Revolution, Mini Games, and Tutorial. Beat Revolution is literally the story mode. In B.R. you play through "days" on a "calender". There are 18 "days" to play through. Each day contains a few music games. In Mini Games you can just pick up and play any of the 20 music games you have unlocked. You start out with quite a few mini-games, so don't be afraid to jump into the game in this mode. Tutorial is exactly what it says it is.
Music games in this game only last generally a few minutes. The only controls you need to know are the tap, flick, and hold. These are the same controls as rhythm heaven. In each music game you tap, flick, or hold to the beat, depending on music and onscreen queues.

Music: Music in a rhythm/music game always matters. I am happy to say that Beat City has great "bit style" music. You might just find yourself bouncing/ headbanging to the music quite a lot.

Replayability: Beat City has quite a bit of replayability. By getting an 80% or over on a song you unlock an item in the Beat Album. The B.A. gives nice backstory on a lot *22* of the games objects. 20 of the items in the B.A. are unlocked from % and the other 2 are unlocked from the story mode. This isn't the only reason to keep playing Beat City though, Almost all of the music games are fun and you might just want to go back in B.R. and improve your scores to see what happens when you get Groove Whale back to space.

Conclusion: For only $20 bucks Beat City is a steal. Everything in the game is fun and enjoyable. I suspect this to be one of the years most overlooked game. If you want to play a demo of Beat City head on over to [...]

However, I feel that they could've spent some more time fine-tuning the controls. The magnifying glass was hard to handle and moving switches was also quite difficult on the DS's small screen. I'm also disappointed that this version is simply Myst Masterpiece Edition on the DS rather than realMyst (which is where the bonus age came from).

I would say not to get this except considering how the PC version is for a very old OS, and even the Masterpiece Edition and realMyst are for Windows 98, you might not have much of a choice. I bought this game while in paris. read about it on some game web page. this game is fun as crap. for $10, i'd buy several. what makes this game fun is that it tests your memory on the normal and pro modes. it's like keeping the balls in the air and knowing when to put them in a slot while taking on a new ball. it's gets nerve racking at times. the fun parts are when you just know you screwed up but somehow you have one plane taking off while another is landing just a few hundred yards behind it. yeah, pull that one off in real life. it's stuff like that that makes you clench your fist and say, "yeah, baby!" as the ATC, you only have to survive for like a 3 - 4 hour shift. on pro mode, it gets hard!

this game does support the rumble pack if you have one.

I have no idea why I love this game so much. Probably for the same reason I loved waitressing on a Friday night. Absolute chaos, but in my mind I had everything under control. I knew exactly what I needed to do and planned the shortest route to get everything accomplished. I find that rewarding. This is a brain game. You get into a groove, a train of thought, like a machine. Not everyone could do this game.

You have 10 recipes of burgers, each with different toppings placed on them in a specific order. You have to put the patties on the grill, then put the cooked patties on the buns and then correct toppings on each burger. So, you have to memorize each recipe and time-manage cooking the burgers, fixing them up and getting them to the impatient customers.

By the end levels you have to multi-task plus plan way ahead so you can cut corners by placing one topping on two burgers, but you have to be in the correct place for topping, one burger may have tomato as the last ingredient, another may have it as a middle ingredient. And you have less and less time to get more and more accommplished.

It's the same with fries and shakes.

As with all these games, it's a collossal waste of time. But I'm sure it staves off Alzheimers and for some reason, I find it SO FUN!Get more detail about Burger Island.

I was looking to buy this game for quite awhile after hearing and reading all the good stuff about it. I finally did and I have not been disappointed. For a game that does not come with online play you can spend a ton of time playing it by yourself. The modes that are available are vast in their replayability.

If you do not know this game is a different take on tetris. Blocks fall from the top of the screen and it is your job to line up 3 alike horizontally. Once you have done that they will fly upwards, depending on the level your playing on they will fly off the screen. This will create a bunch of blocks on your opponents screen. The blocks will first appear as nothing but eventually change to the normal blocks. If at any time one of the rows of blocks gets full to the point where there is no room for another to fit you/your opponent will lose. I originally played this game as a download on my cell phone and was hopelessly addicted to it. So when I got my Nintendo DS....I thought I'd get the DS version and try it out. I like the challenge of trying to beat my previous scores. I've read the other reviews for this game, and I have a major complaint: REVIEW THE GAME. NOT THE SHIPPING, NOT YOUR KIDS' REACTIONS, THE ACTUAL GAME!!! Thank you. And now, onto the REAL review.

Graphics:
I've heard a lot of people whining about the NDS's graphics. The truth of the matter is, the DS just doesn't have powerful enough software to produce graphics like the PSP or Wii or Xbox or whatever. So as far as the Nintendo DS's standards go, the graphics are somewhat decent. They have impproved majorly since the first Fashion Designer game, and are a bit better than the New York's. It's still very pixelly at times, though. I despise taking full-length pics in the game because the model's lips look like they've been mutated ( O ) ( O )

Music:
I'm not gonna lie to you; the music is AWFUL. I always turn the volume down and stick my headphones in to listen to my iPod when I play the game. Hooray for iPods!!!:D

Gameplay:
The gameplay is nothing like the first game; instead it leans a lot more towards the New York style. So if you liked the gameplay of the first Fashion Design game, you're probably gonna hate this.
The game's time is based on "seasons" and "months"; The basic schedule of each month in each season is this: Read the magazines to trend ideas, call people and get information on the current trend, make the minimum amount of clothes, display clothes on your mannequins, take pictures, do a fashion show or two, and get your sales report. True, it is very enjoyable at first. But it gets very repetitive very fast. Another thing that stinks is the fact that you don't seem to unlock any more fashion options. (Other than buying things at stores.) But then again I haven't completed the game yet, so I may be surprised. There also a lot, and I mean A LOT, of cutscenes. Which, I might add, are mediocre and pointless in my opinion. Younger girls may enjoy them, but chances are they won't. There are some nice new features, like being able to go out and buy clothes, accessories, stamps, patterns, shoes, etc. and the ability to break the article of clothing you're tailoring into separate sections and color them accordingly. The gameplay is nice, but repeats itself way too much. I don't reccommend playing this game for more than an hour at a time, to avoid boredom.

I really like seek and find/hidden object games for my DSi. They are usually very easy to play at night before bed and normally pretty relaxing to me. I have played Millionheir (the best of the bunch), Amazing Adventures, Cate West, Mystery P.I. and more.

This game is adequate. Thus 3 stars. The objects are harder to find than in many other games I've played and the timer adds an element of stress that I do not enjoy (that is not to say you won't but I didn't). Additionally the music is positively brutal. The wedding march and other fairy tale wedding songs. It was really tough for me to keep at this game with the music as it was just too much. I don't hate weddings (had one myself) but I do not want to listen that that music for hours and hours and hours. I did end up turning it off.

The good news is that this game is not that long. I'm nearly done with story 1 and I've been at it less than 2 hours. If there are 3 stories/couples that means this one will clock in at under 10 hours (possibly under 6 which woud be awful). At a price of around ten to fourteen this would be a good pick up. Not great. There are much better but this will do in a pinch. The booklet does not explain how the tools are suppose to be used if you fail after so many tries the game is over and you must start from the beginning. The story follows Liddel, a witch-in-training who's bored with what she's learning in school and wants to learn an all-powerful spell so that she can become the most powerful witch in the world. To that end, she goes looking for the spell at an old abandoned castle and ends up releasing the Eld Witch and waking up Louis, the vampire. And so for the rest of the game, Liddel and Louis are on a quest to reseal the Eld Witch by obtaining the seals from the 7 princesses ruling the 7 worlds.

Now, an interesting thing about this game is that the true and "happy" ending can only be obtained by completing the game twice. I also found that the story is revealed more fully when you play through the second time, with additional little tidbits that add immensely to the tale. And because of the way the fights are in this game, the second play through is actually quite fast and not as tedious as you would think. I highly recommend playing through that second time for the real ending, it truly makes a huge difference in how the story plays out.
