I was looking for a racing game on the Nintendo DS platform and this game is very exciting. Graphics are very good, and you get the effect of actually driving at super high speeds. I actually had the sensation like I was driving faster in this game than the F-Zero on Nintendo 64 and SNES. You drive through tunnels, jump ramps and do various stunts while racing. The sound effects are very good even though the music is not too exciting.

There are only up to 5 competitors which is a little disappointing since I like more 'traffic' on the road. The speed bursts are fun and the special effects add more of a thrill to gameplay.

Gameplay is entirely through the buttons and keypad. You don't use the touch screen for gameplay. Controls are simple to learn although there is a slight learning curve "Car-Fu". The physics are realistic (you can even 'drift'), despite the fact that you don't sustain damage to your vehicle. You have the option of competing on 3 levels of difficulty, and playing by a race or 'career' mode. As you advance, you unlock more drivers and courses. The artificial intelligence of your competition is quite challenging.

Hidden Mysteries: Titanic - Secrets of the Fateful Voyage Decide Now

I was worried this would be way too easy, but it was actually pretty challenging at some parts! Even so, it wasn't too difficult where I wanted to give up.

I really LOVED how when you press the Select button, it will give you a hint...definitely saves time and energy trying to look up a walkthrough online if you get really stuck.

I do wish the story was a little longer, though. I probably got through it all in three hours or so. But, still-- it was worth it!

Ni Hao, Kai-Lan: New Year's Celebration Buy Now

Before I go into the game, this is nearly identical to the Backyardigans game for DS that came out just a little over a week before it by the same developer. If you already got the Backyardigans game for your child and they loved it, and they happen to like Kai-Lan too, then this is equally recommended, though they might get bored with it since they've already done a lot of this.

But regardless, this is still a nice game to play for children. My daughter was a little over 2 when she discovered the DS and started playing Wario Ware and New Super Mario Bros. Needless to say, this isn't as advanced as those, but she still enjoys playing and is clearly learning a few new things too.

There are two main modes to the game- Story and Free Play. The Story mode is basically an episode of the show but in game form. It follows the title's theme: New Year's Celebration, as Kai-Lan and her friends get ready for the Chinese New Year and all the activities that go along with it. You start out by cleaning Kai-Lan's room (yeah, not the most exciting way to start a game for kids), and go about getting new outfits for everyone, making dumplings, playing musical instruments, coloring, making lanterns and other decorations and marching with a dragon. Free play just has you select which activities you want to do without sitting through the semi-cutscenes. A lot of the modes are great for kids and the characters actually tell you what to do, rather than having text pop up that they wouldn't be able to read.

This is an ideal game for kids between 2 and 4, maybe 5. By that age, they should've moved on to other titles, as this is some fairly basic stuff, but it all depends on the child. All the Kai-Lan favorites are here and have good voice quality. Aside from this being too similar to the Backyardigans game, I don't have any complaints. Crazy Chicken - Atlantis Quest Get it now!

First of all, I would like to state how disappointed I was that I traded in like 6 games to get credit and ended up buying this game, only to be disappointed all over again. This game was so not worth the time or effort. It really is not for all ages and should be marked as a game for younger audiences since it can be beat easily and the graphics are not that cool.

The back of the container fools you and makes you think the game actually sounds interesting but as it was mentioned in other reviews, there really is no point to this game except that the chicken likes treasure and goes through the levels collecting coins and other things, only at the end to fight Poseidon and gain his trident if you win.

Another downfall of this game is that it's a DS game but yet you do not need the stylus at all. It's like the classic Mario games where you go through each level doing things and once you reach the end you carry on but at least Mario was entertaining. The only thing you need the stylus for is to write your name in to save the game which is completely pointless.

If you buy this game, I would recommend getting it for a younger child because it's rather easy but even then they might become bored easily and toss it aside. If you don't like getting games where you don't use the stylus, crappy graphics, and are way too easy, then don't buy this game. Harvest Moon DS Immediately

I had bought this game and had SO much fun playing it. The one problem was the load file glitch. I played through over half the game and saved in BOTH files and when I went to reload, the screen went blank. Apparently this is a MAJOR glitch to where you cannot get your saved files back and you must restart the whole game over again. I took the game back to the seller and they gave me another. I played the second game to near the end and it had the same load file glitch. I called Nintendo and they told me to contact Natsume and have them fix it. Nintendo also told me that I can call them back if the game does not get fixed, so there is some hope to getting it fixed, but I cannot get my progress back. It is too much hassle really. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized Top Quality

So...I've heard what people have said, and I've played it. Usually the multiplayer online isn't the BEST, but it gets the job done. I much prefer playing with friends and find the lag to be little to none. As for the graphics...good enough. I love the reload animations, guns and sounds which remind me of Modern Warfare 2.

The reason so many people complain, is that they forget something... ONE: BUY A GODFORSAKEN Thylus, or Ds Wrist Strap for six dollars. That way you aren't cramping up. They are under ten bucks and last a good while. And since this is a FPS, you need one. Even IGN points out that having a ds strap for ANY fps on the ds, helps it out infinitely.

I would reccomend this game to any Call of Duty fans, as long as they accomplish the above. As for the weapons and campaign...I loved them, and kind of was disappointed that you couldn't just unlock them during campaign. But all well. Better than no auto shotty's right?

This is a very good game for those times where you're in the waiting room with your ds. I wouldn't suggest this for car rides, especially if you get nauseous concentrating while riding like me.

My niece wanted the Bakugan toy. Now I am left with a non-standard packaged DS game. I was expecting there to be a hard shell case inside.

When you open the cardboard flap of the outer box, the game cartridge is just sitting in there wedged in the cardboard. You lift that cardboard up, and beneath that on the bottom of the cardboard box is the pamphlet for the game.

Cheap Diner Dash: Flo on the Go

I LOVED the original Diner Dash for the DS and couldn't wait to buy Flo on the Go. On the PLUS side....the music is fun to listen to.

The minuses.... 1. Everything is too small. You will probably miss a lot chain bonuses due to the fact that you THOUGHT you tapped on a table or a meal to deliver, but due to the size of the icons...you missed them. Also, why bother changing Flo's outfit when you can't really see it in the game because her figure is squashed to fit the screen.

2. Upgrades....what a disappointment!! It would be great if you had to EARN the money for the upgrades and (like the original Diner Dash) be able to choose colors and styles of your restaurant area. Instead...for example on the cruise ship...you can either choose a pool or ugly comfortable seating or whatever else they give you....and you can only choose one thing at the end of each level.

My 10 year old daughter was so traumatized by the ending that all she could do
was sit, shake and cry after finishing the game. She didn't want to talk about it, but
eventually opened up. It was a very sad ending in which parents die - traumatic enough
for any kid. However, the worst part of the game is that it has kids pick (multiple choice style) at the beginning the way in which the parents die. My 10 year old felt responsible
for the deaths because she had picked certain things at the beginning of the game.
I don't know what the designers could possibly be thinking!

Note: my daughter is not extremely sensitive - she watched Goosebumps, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean etc., with no problem. She's usually the first to say "Oh Mom, it's only a movie". If it bothered her this much, it's bound to really upset a kid that's used to G ratings. Parents, in a nutshell, there are better games without the risk of severe emotional trauma - do yourself and your child a favor and just find something else for them to play.

I purchased World of Zoo for my 8-yr-old daughter for Christmas, who adores anything to do with wild and exotic animals. (Wants to be either a zookeeper or marine biologist when she grows up.)

She played World of Zoo on and off for the week after Christmas, and just hates it. Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure This instant

This game is amazing. If you're at all a fan of super polished, extremely charming sidescrollers (like Goemon or Strider or Kirby or Ristar or Rayman or Starfy or Mega Man) than stop reading and buy this game. I'm not even that big a fan of puzzle titles, and I gotta admit, the puzzle component to Henry Hatsworth had me hooked.

So the game is a sidescroller, but the bottom screen has a puzzle game constantly (slowly) going on. At any time, you can switch between which game/screen you're working on (while puzzling, the top screen is paused). As you do stuff in the platformer parts, you build up a bar that lets you stay in the puzzle game. And as you puzzle away, you earn powerups that take immediate effect in the platformer half. For example; clear a lightning block in puzzle mode, and when you return to the platformer part a lightning shock will paralyze all enemies on screen. There are tons of powerups, so you're encouraged to puzzle away, and since you only have to play it in short bursts, it gets quite addicting fast. It's frankly, brilliant. I can't believe no one has ever combined these two genres before! Let alone so well.

The game is gorgeous with personality to spare; this dude and his crazy, adventuresome, London-esque world (complete with his tea-time robot suit, and Union Jack anime-style swooshy background) is way too loveable. The art all around is great, with fantastic use of colors and loads of personalities for every character in the game. The gameplay is rock solid - this guy can platform with the best of them. The fighting is tight, responsive and rewarding, with nice amount of depth (juggles!). And the platforming is kept fresh with plenty of new moves. For example, once you find the Golden Gentleman's Trousers, you can do wall jumps - which comes in handy 'cuz you'll need 'em. The levels are really well designed. The game is fantastic!

It's original, it's charming, it's polished, it's unique - but most importantly it's fun as heck. I can't believe that Tiburon, the same EA studio responsible for Madden year in and year out, had the creativity and skill to put this together. If no one told me, I'd swear this was a long lost Konami or Capcom SNES game. It's fantastic.

I haven't had my Ds lite case for very long, but it fits my Ds lite quite nicely and seems sturdy enough.

I have this game for PSP and was looking forward to see the difference on the DS. I was disappointed. The challenges are less interesting. Having to walk around to find skills rather than building the skills might save time but gets old fast. The "toughs" in the pent house are also not to my taste. Not being able to see the prices being paid for found objects is also disappointing on the games for the GBA you could hold on to items until you got the highest price.
