I pre-ordered this item before it was released. I was so excited to get the item to put on my new DSI XL. Unfortunately when I received the item it was not a very safe item to add to my DSI XL after all. Since the item was metal it had very sharp edges on it where you hands would be to hold the DSI. It was very uncomfortable, and I was afraid that it might cut me or someone else that played with the DSI. I returned the item and got a refund. I don't know if this is how all of these cases are made or if it was just a flaw in the one I received. Either way I wasn't about to purchase another to find out. Instead I purchased Nintendo DSi XL Crystal Case Plus - Smoked Black.
