I will start off by saying I had never heard of Bleach the anime prior to looking at this game and even now I have yet to see the anime. What intrigued me about the game in the first place was its praise as a great fighting game, well ladies and gentlemen this is 100% true.
This has got to be one of the best fighting games out there. The controls are responsive, the engine is amazing, the graphics are also great. The only complain I kind of have is that the actual controls are almost the same for every character. This is kind of a plus though because I am intrigued to use every character. It is not like you have to invest some time on only a few characters because their controls are unique, no the fact that the controls are similar gives you the freedom to explore the roster. The game has a card system that lowers a stat for your opponent or boosts one of yours. At first the card system seemed unsettling but now I can see the depth it adds to the game.
Overall a great fighting game period. It's not a great fighting game for a hand held, no, it is just a great figting game. In some ways better then some of the other fighting games out there, for example Street Fighter IV. Don't let the fact that you are unfamiliar with the Bleach universe turn you away, it almost did me, you will not feel lost and the game is more than strong enough to stand on its own.Get more detail about Bleach: The Blade of Fate.
